Adventure Games You Can Play One-Handed
Not every good adventure game demands your full attention. Some of my favorites work perfectly during a commute, played with one thumb while holding a coffee in the other hand.
The key is control design. Point-and-tap adventures like Hollow Lantern shine here because a single tap moves you or triggers an action. There's no fiddly virtual joystick fighting your thumb.
Story matters too. A game meant for short bursts should have natural stopping points, so you can put it down without losing the thread. The better ones remember where you were and ease you back in.
If you mostly game in small windows of time, look for these traits before you buy. A gorgeous adventure is no fun if you can't actually play it in the moments you have.
