Adventure
Hollow Lantern
★★★★★ 4.6
Hollow Lantern is quiet and atmospheric, the sort of adventure you play with headphones in late at night. You explore an empty seaside town, solve environmental puzzles, and slowly piece together why everyone left. The hand-drawn art carries a lot of the mood.
Puzzles are logical rather than obtuse — I never had to look anything up, which I appreciated. The pacing lets you sit with each location instead of rushing you along. It's short, maybe four hours, but it stayed with me longer than most bigger games.
If you want a story-driven adventure that doesn't waste your time, start here.
